Ravalli Child Care Advantage

Practical solutions for businesses to help employees, support families, and boost the local economy.

Support Child Care. Strengthen Your Workforce.

The Ravalli Child Care Advantage (RCCA) helps local businesses solve one of the biggest workforce challenges: reliable, affordable child care. Families need care, providers are stretched, and businesses face disruptions—coordination is the missing link. By participating, your business can support employees, improve retention, and invest in the long-term health of our community.

Developed by the Bitterroot Early Childhood Coalition and led by BELN, RCCA treats child care as essential community infrastructure shared across the county—not just by families or providers.

How Your Business Can Participate

RCCA makes it easy for businesses to support child care while strengthening their workforce.

  1. Sign Up: Give employees priority access to quality child care as part of their benefits package.
  2. Access the Enrollment & Waitlist Portal: Streamlined access helps employees secure reliable care more easily.
  3. Support Family-Forward Practices: Partner with RCCA to implement inclusive, family-friendly workplace policies.

RCCA is flexible and integrated with BELN’s broader programs—provider coaching, family support, and advocacy—so your investment strengthens both access and quality.

Building a stronger community - together

Getting involved is simple—and it starts with a conversation. Together, we can create solutions that work for families, businesses, and our entire community.

Montana faces significant challenges with child care shortages. Over 59% of counties are classified as child care deserts, where the supply meets less than a third of the demand. The lack of affordable, high-quality child care impacts Montana’s workforce, costing businesses nearly $55 million annually due to lower productivity, increased turnover, and recruitment challenges. This shortage limits workforce participation, particularly among parents, who struggle to find child care to support full-time employment. Not to mention what the lack of early childhood experiences does for kindergarten readiness, third grade scores, and ultimately our next generation of leaders.
